What do I need when applying for a loan?

A fully completed loan application form to be accompanied by 3 months current bank statements and proof of income.

We also require Revolut statements if applicable.

You can email documents to loans@inishowencu.ie (pdf versions are preferred)

Photographic ID and Proof of Address may be required, if advised by staff.
All loans are subject to approval.

What do I need when applying for a loan if self-employed?
  • A copy of 2 years recent accounts filed with the Revenue Commissioners,
  • Tax letter issued by the Revenue Commissioners for the most recent tax year,
  • Chapter 4 form for the most recent tax year,
  • Business and personal bank statements for the previous three months ending in the month prior to the loan application.

Do I need a guarantor?

In some cases a guarantor may be required. If you sign as a guarantor this means that you are agreeing to pay the borrower’s Credit Union debt if they default on the loan.

What happens if I repay my loan early?

There are no penalties for early loan repayments.
